To enhance your typing experience in Word, you can either introduce new autocorrect suggestions or eliminate outdated terms from the AutoCorrect feature. Curious about how to do it? Here’s your guide.
Setting Up New AutoCorrect Suggestions in Word
Launch Microsoft Word and click on the “File” tab.
Navigate to the bottom of the left sidebar and choose the “Options” button.
The “Word Options” dialog will pop up. In this window, click on “Proofing” found in the left sidebar.
Now, click on the “AutoCorrect Options” button located in the respective section.
The “AutoCorrect” settings for your Word’s language version will be displayed.
Input the term you wish to have autocorrected in the “Replace” field and the desired replacement in the “With” field. Click “Add” to save.
Your added suggestion will be visible in the list. To add more suggestions, simply repeat these steps. Once finished, click “OK.”
With this set up, every time you type the specified term in Word, the autocorrect will kick in.
